[PRESS RELEASE] ResilienX Selected to Support GrandSKY in Project ULTRA UAS Integration and Simulation Efforts

May 7, 2026

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — ResilienX, Inc., a leader in digital infrastructure and safety management solutions for advanced aviation, has entered into a subcontract agreement with GrandSKY to support unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) integration and operational evaluation activities. The agreement is part of Project ULTRA, an airspace integration effort sponsored by the Office of Undersecretary of War for Acquisitions and Sustainment (OUSW A&S).

ResilienX will provide engineering integration and operational modeling support leveraging its AAM OptiX digital infrastructure to function as a Federal UAS Service Supplier (USS). The effort will focus on modeling the integration of multiple data sources, enabling system interoperability, and supporting simulated operational scenarios designed to evaluate advanced USS capabilities.

“Project ULTRA represents a critical step in advancing uncrewed military drones into the U.S. national airspace,” ResilienX CEO Andrew Carter said. “Project UTLRA is exploring and setting the requirements for how defense and commercial drone can operate beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) in shared airspace Bringing in dual-use capabilities like AAM OptiX can help OUSW see where the commercial industry is going and make sure the interoperability exists for defense solutions.”

ResilienX’s OptiX platform provides key federal USS capabilities such as a common operating picture, strategic deconfliction, and conformance monitoring through integrated technologies like the OneSky traffic management platform. These capabilities enable operators and stakeholders to monitor operations, assess risk, and make informed decisions across complex and dynamic airspace environments, including support for contingency operations in rapidly evolving or degraded conditions.

“We’re glad to bring ResilienX and their AAM OptiX Federal USS to Project ULTRA. Demonstrating that another Federal USS system can seamlessly integrate multiple data sets into our existing traffic management framework to provide deconfliction and safe BVLOS operations is paramount to what we’re working on with Project ULTRA,” said Chris Hewlett, Project ULTRA Director.

ResilienX is supporting broader efforts with Project ULTRA to validate operational concepts, improve system interoperability, and accelerate the safe integration of UAS into real-world operations.
