We’re pleased to share recent media coverage from DroneTalks, which published a feature on ORION-X and ResilienX’s perspective on what it will take for the drone industry to scale.
The article explores a challenge that many across the industry recognize: while drone use cases continue to prove value, repeatable scale remains difficult to achieve. It points to a mix of persistent barriers, including fragmented operations, underutilized assets, cost pressures, and the continued burden of aviation complexity on organizations that simply need the value drones can provide.
At the center of the piece is ORION-X, ResilienX’s vision for a shared, on-demand drone network built to support scalable BVLOS operations. As covered in the article, the idea is simple but powerful: organizations should be able to request the data or service they need without having to own drones, manage pilots, or navigate the complexity of aviation operations themselves.
DroneTalks also highlights one of the clearest examples of this challenge at the municipal level, where departments often build separate drone programs that do not connect, share resources, or scale efficiently. ORION-X is presented as a different model, one built around shared infrastructure, centralized operations, and the ability to support both public safety and commercial use cases through a more connected network.
We appreciate the thoughtful coverage from DroneTalks and Eszter Kovacs, and we’re glad to see the conversation around scalable drone infrastructure continuing to gain momentum.
